Doxter S scored as a finalist in SAW MASC 33 last year. The Songwriters’ Association of Washington (SAW) and Washington Area Music Association (WAMA) have sponsored the Mid-Atlantic Song Contest (MASC) for the last 34 years. Doxter S just submitted 7 new songs for this year, hoping to win additional recognition as a Singer-Songwriter. This year’s submissions include the following: Mirrors, Monday, Weather, Eyes in the Dark, Heat, Misunderstanding, and Swing. Doxter S has been a member of SAW and WAMA for the last 5 years. These organizations help to foster up-and-coming songwriters who create new and original music. SAW and WAMA host workshops and open mic opportunities  held around Greater Washington DC. SAW and WAMA members are all accomplished composers, producers, and musicians. They are proud to serve this vibrant and growing musical community.

MASC is an international competition sponsored by SAW and WAMA.  MASC attracts Singer-Songwriter and other composers and performers of original music from around the area. They gather each year for a Gala presentation to announce the winners and for an opportunity to hear some of the best perform live on stage. The song categories include: Adult Contemporary  Children’s * Country/Bluegrass * Folk Acoustic Folk Rock/Americana/Roots Rock * Gospel/Inspirational/Christian  Instrumental Open * Pop * R&B/Hip Hop/Urban * Rock/Alternative * Vocal Jazz & Blues.
