Lyrics

Baby, Baby, OoohBaby, Baby, OoohBaby, Baby

  • One day you will be famous
  • They’ll roll out the red carpet
  • And everyone will see your name in lights
  • Will that satisfy you?
  • Replace what love denied you
  • And make up for those cold December nights
  • It’s a long hard road we travel, you and me
  • And it’s easy to forget our history
  • There was once a time we made some harmony
  • And we ended every night I ecstasy
  • There were Honky-Tonks and nightclubs on the way
  • From Atlanta to Chicago and L.A.
  • Our duet was for the night, but then one day
  • I was on my knees just begging you to stay
  • You wanted to be famous
  • You had to make some changes
  • But was it your career you’re speaking of
  • There is no denying
  • I failed at satisfying
  • And somewhere on the road I lost your love
  • You made it, now you’re famous
  • They rolled out the red carpet
  • And everyone can see your name in lights
  • Does it satisfy you?
  • Replace the love denied you
  • And make up for those cold December nights
  • Now you’re famous
  • You’re so famous
  • So damn famous

Lyrics

Wake up a song that the birds are singing
Get up and see what a new day's bringing
Step out and breathe in the smell of flowers in the air

Walking with hand in hand lovely weather
Talking about our new life together
Happy as two can be we'll be dancing everywhere

Cancun, Saint Lucia, Saint Bart's, Tobago
Montego bay on to Ocho Rios
We swim and play in a pool below the water fall

Flying to Phoenix in Arizona
Driving the desert to see Sedona
Camping we watch the flames dancing on the canyon wall

Wrapped in the arms of my darling my love
Gazing at stars and the moon up above

Every day brings us a new adventure
Filling our eyes and our hearts with pleasure
Booked on a budget but feeling like a billionaire

Visiting places with new perspectives
Loving the life that the one percent lives
Happy as two can be we'll be dancing everywhere

[Bridge]

Living the vagabond life is priceless
Nothing to tethers us or deny us
Spending our time on nobody's dime without a care

Go where we chose where the moment takes us
Nothing to lose with no obligations
Happy as two can be we'll be dancing everywhere

Stay by Doxter S on Apple Music

Stay by Doxter S on Apple Music

Crimson Studios is proud to announce a New Release | Stay by Doxter S. This is the 57th original song written by Doxter S and produced at Crimson Studios in McLean, Virginia. Now available for streaming on Apple Music.

This beautiful love song in G-Major can be performed by either female or male lead. A piano provides the foundation. The cello and contrabass alternate legato and pizzicato. There is syncopation between the instrument voices.

The instrumental intro, with piano, cello, and contrabass, is happy. The melody for the first and second verse, sung by Sara, is plaintive. Each verse has a tension building bridge. The second verse follows the first bridge immediately. (The original score separated them with a repeat of the intro).

The chorus is commanding, strong, with a positive vibe. The use of the B-Major in a single phrase of the chorus adds unexpected urgency to the lyrics. (This production was transposed to D-Major, so F-Major provides the tension).

The first and second chorus are separated by a vocalized version of the intro melody. This is again upbeat, happy. The second chorus has different lyrics. Following the second chorus is a repeat of the instrumental intro. The song ends with a repeat of the first chorus on a happy note.

Nice by Doxter S on Apple Music

Nice by Doxter S on Apple Music

Crimson Studios is proud to announce the new release of Nice by Doxter S. This delicate ballad with solo female vocalist (Sara) and classical guitar accompaniment will decompress and fulfill your soul. Listen to Nice by Doxter S on Apple Music.

Doxter S spent some time in September 2018 in Nice (pronounced like Niece in English) on the French Riviera. This large metropolitan city is the summer playground for the French. It’s more upscale neighbors Monte Carlo to the east and Cannes to the west are for aristocrats and sheikhs.

Not that the Porte de Nice doesn’t have it’s share of luxury yachts and millionaires. Bill Gates and Tina Turner live nearby. What Nice does have is a rich history and a charming old town (Vieux Nice) and lots of British and American expats.

Wandering down the narrow, cobblestone walkways one passes by shops and restaurants with outdoor seating. The open market area constantly transforms; farmers market, craft vendors, exotic spices, and multicolored sea salts (the fish market was recently moved to the port area for health reasons). Everything gets hosed down before lunchtime. The restaurants lining both sides of the wide pedestrian area take over competing sections for outdoor dining.

Without noting the time, the many church steeple bells start counting out the noon hour. High on the castle hill (now a park) a cannon is fired at exactly 12:00 sharp. Everyone is getting seated for déjeuner, the most important meal of the day. The banks have closed. Time to dine on food and wine.

Nice was home to some very famous French painters, including Renoir and Matisse. There is a Chagall museum in the northern part of Nice. They all came to enjoy the sea air, the clear Mediterranean waters, and most of all the light and color of this place. The sky and the sea were so blue they gave it the name Côte d’Azur.

Flower Girl by Doxter S on Apple Music

Flower Girl by Doxter S on Apple Music

Sometimes the inspiration for a song is a person, maybe a place, or a feeling, or perhaps a period in time. Flower Girl by Doxter S is all of these. The place is introduced in the first verse: “There is a town just south of Monterey”. Look at a map of the west coast of California and take a guess. The town has a long history going back centuries. The oldest Spanish Mission in North America is there. There is an artist colony. There was a famous Mayor. The person who is the subject of the song, “Flower Girl”, has come to this town from far away. Her mind is always far away as well. She may be a person born of a different era with different sensibilities. We learn that “Flower Girl” is “Stuck in a ripple of time” in pursuit of a lover.

There are many references to the ocean, ocean life (Sea Otters – who notoriously mate for life), and sailors (who notoriously don’t).
There are sailors out on the bay. A sailor wanders by the Flower Shop where she works. We just don’t know that “Flower Girl” is interested in a sailor. “Flower Girl” wants to be with someone who left her behind. “Flower Girl” is musically inclined, as she is depicted “gently strumming her guitar” while she sings to an unidentified man. “Flower Girl” is praying as the Mission Bell tolls when the love of her life finally appears. Suddenly we are taken back in time; as if only a return to this earlier historical period can resolve “Flower Girl’s” longing and desires. The Sea Otters swim an play.
Flower Girl was written by Doxter S, sung by a female lead, and was produced at Crimson Studios in McLean, Virginia in 2017.
