Backdoor by Doxter S had 2,971 Plays on ReverbNation
ReverbNation has notified Crimson Studios that it’s new release – Backdoor by Doxter S has had 2,971 plays so far! Doxter S has other songs on ReverbNation with high listener engagement. This song was inspired by an idea given to me by my friend Bobby McDavid who’s late father was a self-taught mandolin, guitar, and harmonica player from Gate City, Virginia, and was the founder of the Munsey Bob McDavid Bluegrass Band. He was invited  at the age of 6-years old to perform on stage at Carter’s Fold with the great Bill Monroe. The lyrics I created are loosely based on notes for a song that never had a melody. I think Bob McDavid the elder would have liked how this turned out.
Backdoor (of my Heart) by Doxter S
(Refrain 1)
You Sneaked in through the backdoor of my lost and lonely heart
And you Tried to make a big fool out of me
Broke my Family and my home, left me poor and all alone
You Left my heart in pain and misery
(Verse 1)
You took Everything I had, but that’s Not what gets me mad
First you Robbed me then you tried to ruin my name
Now I Stay here in this place, I’m ashamed to show my face
I’m a Broken man, and I have you to blame
(Refrain 1)
(Verse 2)
You broke Every vow you made, girl I Know when I’ve been played
First You Promised then you cheated and you lied
But if You try something slicker on the backdoor of my ticker
You will Find that sucker’s locked from the inside
(Refrain 2)
You Sneaked in once before using the Backdoor of my heart
But you Won’t sneak in again so easily
It’s not Like it was before ’cause it ain’t open anymore
That Backdoor’s locked and you don’t have the key
The Backdoor of My Heart Won’t Open Anymore
(Attributed to Bob McDavid)
You sneaked in the backdoor of my heart,
And made a fool of me,
You broke up my home,
And my family.
You broke every vow you made,
You cheated and you lied,
You’ll not get through that door again,
It’s locked from inside.
You took everything I had,
And tried to ruin my name,
That’s why I sit here all alone,
My head bowed down in shame.
You think you can walk right in again,
Just like you did before,
But the backdoor of my heart,
Won’t open anymore.
