New Release | Backdoor by Doxter S | July 2018
New Release | Backdoor by Doxter S | July 2018
Crimson Studios is proud to announce a new release – Backdoor by Doxter S. This song was inspired by an idea given to me by my friend Bobby McDavid who’s late father was a self-taught mandolin, guitar, and harmonica player from Gate City, Virginia, and was the founder of the Munsey Bob McDavid Bluegrass Band. He was invited at the age of 6-years old to perform on stage at Carter’s Fold with the great Bill Monroe. The lyrics I created are loosely based on notes for a song that never had a melody. I think Bob McDavid the elder would have liked how this turned out.
Backdoor (of my Heart) by Doxter S
(Refrain 1)
You Sneaked in through the backdoor of my lost and lonely heart
And you Tried to make a big fool out of me
Broke my Family and my home, left me poor and all alone
You Left my heart in pain and misery
(Verse 1)
You took Everything I had, but that’s Not what gets me mad
First you Robbed me then you tried to ruin my name
Now I Stay here in this place, I’m ashamed to show my face
I’m a Broken man, and I have you to blame
(Refrain 1)
(Verse 2)
You broke Every vow you made, girl I Know when I’ve been played
First You Promised then you cheated and you lied
But if You try something slicker on the backdoor of my ticker
You will Find that sucker’s locked from the inside
(Refrain 2)
You Sneaked in once before using the Backdoor of my heart
But you Won’t sneak in again so easily
It’s not Like it was before ’cause it ain’t open anymore
That Backdoor’s locked and you don’t have the key
The Backdoor of My Heart Won’t Open Anymore
(Attributed to Bob McDavid)
You sneaked in the backdoor of my heart,
And made a fool of me,
You broke up my home,
And my family.
You broke every vow you made,
You cheated and you lied,
You’ll not get through that door again,
It’s locked from inside.
You took everything I had,
And tried to ruin my name,
That’s why I sit here all alone,
My head bowed down in shame.
You think you can walk right in again,
Just like you did before,
But the backdoor of my heart,
Won’t open anymore.

Lyrics
Do what you want to, you don’t need to know where to start
Don’t ask for directions, you just need to follow your heart
Forget what they told you, and don’t get confused by The Man
Just take my advice ’cause I know that you’re part of the plan
Everything’s easy when you get inspired, just follow your dreams no permission required
It’s your own Bizness, you just gotta do what you please
As God is my witness, your life’s gonna feel like a breeze
Just ask for forgiveness, whenever you think you might fall
Then do what you want to it’s nobody’s Bizness at all
Everyday people just trying to make their own way
Working three jobs they got too many bills left to pay
Late in the evening they gather around for a meal
Singing and dancing they’re trying to keep it all real
Everyone’s waiting for when the week ends
Working to live life with family and friends
(Chorus)
(Spoken)
The doctor, the Rabbi, the Priest and the lawyer
They give you advice but they tend to annoy you
The butcher, the baker, the lowly brick layer
We all become equal whether sooner or later
The government worker who’s taking the census
We must forgive those who may trespass against us
Do unto others as you’d have them do unto you
A Sunday School lesson I’ve found that it seems to be true
Just take it easy because at the end of the day
Your life will be judged by the things that you do and you say
Just live your life and treat others with care
Follow your heart you can live anywhere
It’s your own Bizness you just gotta do what you please
As God is my witness your life’s gonna feel like a breeze
Just ask for forgiveness whenever you stumble
Redemption is endless you must remain humble
Then do what you want to it’s nobody’s Bizness at all

Nervous by Doxter S Official Release May 2018
Nervous by Doxter S Official Release May 2018
Nervous by Doxter S is the newest of over 50 original songs produced at Crimson Studios. This pop style song could be sung acapella, however this production includes percussion, strings, and piano. There is asymmetry between the sequential verses and there is a substantial pre chorus. The instrumental backing for the chorus is minimal, as the lead and harmony together provide an orchestral presence. The chorus has a lively percussion accompaniment.
The story line of Nervous by Doxter S portrays a woman uncertain about her lover and their future together. She makes a reference that they are acting like spies. As is true for many other songs from Doxter S there is some gender ambiguity as we don’t really know who this song is for. For that matter, this song started out intended for a male lead, however it transformed into the female lead version presented here.
You make me nervous
You make me nervous
Keep your emotions hidden well
Under the surface
You get me rattled
Tongue tied and tattered
Then you just walk away like
None of it mattered
I feel like I’ve lost control
I’m stuck at the starting gate
Asking for help I say to myself
“Don’t hesitate, it’s getting late”
I’m running on your command
In search of some happiness
Wasting away, I spend every day
You know just which buttons to press
Life keeps on changing
My thoughts rearranging
I need some restraining
My feet on the ground
Nothing is certain
I draw back the curtain
Revealing the hurt and
The peace I have found
You keep on trying
To get me smiling
I haven’t smiled in many years
There’s no denying
You makes me crazy
Everything’s hazy
I should have left by now but
I’ve gotten lazy
I’ve lost my identity
I have nothing left to steal
Acting like spies I look in your eyes
Trying to feel anything real
I’m now starting to believe
My life is about to change
What should I do, I’m thinking it through
Things to arrange, Feeling so strange

Addicted by Doxter S – Video Release – May 2018
Addicted by Doxter S has a new Video Release for May 2018. This uptempo song has an electro-island beat and the new video captures the romantic mood:
Tell me why, tell me why I can’t ignore you, be alone at night, be without you
Now I find, I must try to steal away time, always on my mind, you have made me blind
Your laugh your smile I linger a while, your lips and your voice they leave me no choice
I’m trapped by you, can’t you see … That’s what you did to me I’m addicted to
your hands your touch I need them so much I feel I can’t breathe the moment you leave I can’t wean myself from you … there’s nothing I can do
I’m addicted to you
You are like, you are like that magic potion, Number Nine of Love, and emotion
Even now, I know better than to follow, I have lost my will, I must have my fill
Your clothes your smell I’m under your spell your neck and your arm I’m trapped by your charm a thigh you brush up to mine … tingles run up my spine I’m addicted to your hands your touch I need them so much I feel I can’t breathe the moment you leave I can’t wean myself from you there’s nothing I can do I’m addicted to you
Your head your face your warming embrace your hair and your eyes so bright and so wise I feel it down to the bone … I can’t leave you alone I’m addicted to your hands your touch I need them so much I feel I can’t breathe the moment you leave I can’t wean myself from you … there’s nothing I can do I’m addicted to you
