They are visited by millions or tourists from all over the world every year. The ancestors of our Native Americans arrived thousands of years earlier. The Navajo and Hopi residents continue a tradition of devotion and reverence to this wondrous landscape.

Canyons by Doxter S captures the spirit of this land and its people in a song based on the Native Flute. The melody uses a simple pentatonic scale in a minor key. The percussion is a Native Hand Drum. The female vocalist sings sweetly. The lyrics contrast a modern day romance with the centuries old story of the people inhabiting this spectacular place. The Hopi pray and dance for rain. Kokopelli plays his Magic Flute. The singer refers to her lover, once upon a time together hiking, rafting, and camping here. Then the flame went out. It ended much too soon.
